Al-Hijr \r\n (The Rocky Tract) DON'TE BE DUPED ... \r\nIf I told you someone was going to climb through your \r\n bedroom window at 1:17am, grab your wallet, your watch and your cell phone, \r\n would you get your guard up? \r\nYou probably wouldn’t think I was serious, say ‘yeah \r\n right,’ and snuggle into your warm comfortable bed for a good night’s \r\n sleep. \r\nWhat if it did happen? What if you woke up and found that \r\n your wallet, your watch and your cell were gone? \r\nIf it did happen, you’d be duped. That’s what. \r\nDuped: conned, deceived, jerked \r\n around, fooled, played, tricked. \r\nWhile these other words kind of give an idea of duped, \r\n they miss one important thing: to be duped \r\n is to see it coming, yet get hit. \r\n------------ \r\nIf I told you I got news that someone was after you, that \r\n someone wanted to destroy you, that someone wanted to drag you into the \r\n depths of hell and was going to use all the resources available to do \r\n it, would you believe me? \r\nWhat if Allah told you, would you believe Him? \r\nWhat if that someone himself said it, would you believe \r\n it? \r\nCheck it out, \r\n
Satan has explained it clear enough: we, mankind, have \r\n a sworn enemy. So what do we do about it? Well for one, DON’T BE \r\n DUPED! ... Click \r\n here to find out how! \r\nSource: |
\r\n Understanding the Prophet's Life |
\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n The \r\n Danger of Semi-knowledge \r\nSemi-knowledge, \r\n coupled with vanity and pride, is more dangerous and \r\n subversive than an admitted total ignorance, \r\n because the former is the ignorance of a person who \r\n is not aware of his limitations. Such ignorance manifests \r\n itself in various ways, the most important of which \r\n is sticking rigidly to the literal meanings of the texts \r\n in total disregard for their essence and purposes. \r\nLet us examine the following text: \r\nIt is related in an authentic hadith \r\n that a Muslim should not carry a copy of the Qur'an \r\n when traveling in the land of the kuffar or the enemy. \r\n But if we examine the reason underlying this prohibition, \r\n we conclude that the Prophet (peace be upon him) prohibited \r\n this out of his concern that the kuffar might do harm \r\n to or defile the Book. In the absence of such harm or \r\n defilement, Muslims can take it with them wherever they \r\n wish. This is the customary practice among all Muslims \r\n today. Indeed, people of other religions and faiths \r\n now compete to distribute their \"sacred books\" \r\n and utilize all possible means in the process. Muslims \r\n are trying to do the same through translations of the \r\n meanings of the Qur'an for non-Arabic speakers. \r\nThe Prophet also did not permit a Muslim \r\n who had been away from his family for a long period \r\n of time to arrive back at night. He himself used to \r\n return only in the mornings or early evenings. There \r\n are two reasons for this. First, arriving home unexpectedly \r\n after a long absence may indicate that the husband mistrusts \r\n his wife and intends to take her unawares. This kind \r\n of mistrust is not acceptable in Islam. Secondly, it \r\n is argued that the prohibition seeks to give the wife \r\n the right to know of her husband's arrival so that she \r\n may beautify herself for him. But in modern times a \r\n traveler can come home any time he likes, on the condition \r\n that he informs his wife by telephone or by letter, \r\n telex, telegram, etc. Further, today's traveler cannot \r\n always choose when to travel, for he is governed by \r\n schedules and timetables. Therefore, such a prohibition \r\n cannot be taken at its face value; it must be analyzed \r\n on the basis of its original purpose and intent with \r\n regard to the circumstances of time and place. \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n Source: |

\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n Been Duped? Undupe! \r\nPeople aren’t perfect: we will make \r\n mistakes. Satan dupes us by making us think that minor sins \r\n aren’t important. So we might think, “What’s \r\n the big deal if I tell a ‘white lie’?” The \r\n fact is, lies are lies and sins are sins, and as the Prophet \r\n said, even minor sins, “if \r\n a person is called to account for them, will destroy him.” \r\n [Ahmad] \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n So how do we repent for what \r\n we do wrong, whether minor or major? \r\n
\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n While we may end up falling into the same \r\n trap again, we can always repent and get back on the straight \r\n path. Only those people who \r\n give up and continue to follow Satan are duped and truly losers. \r\n \r\n \r\n Source: |
